I'm on the fence about playing ASOIAF still, but if I do. I think these models would be perfect for dipping. It does it's job on cloth too, but I would still drybrush first. It works really well on giving armor depth without making the highlights look extreme. Also, they look crappy until you spray dullcoat, then it's like magic.Įverything I've dipped looks better than I would have thought. Make sure you follow the instructions (you need to lightly shake it first). I don't have any pictures, but I highly recommend it if you're looking to save time. Look really good for the effort involved. Painted the guns and the eyes/underarmor a very dark gray. I usually use Army Painter’s ‘Strong Tone’ Quick Shade the vast majority of gamers using Quickshade choose Strong Tone to complete their armies. But instead of using washes, I dipped them in medium tone again and they look great.įor Star Wars Legion I spraypainted Stormtroopers GW's Corax White. I painted them more traditionally (black primer, painted all colors on, drybrushed). They were my first time dipping and I wish I had drybrushed the blue cloth first.Īlso for Underworlds I painted the Skaven. I dipped in the medium tone and they came out looking better than I imagined. Then I painted the weapons chainmail, GW's blue basecoat for the cloth, and a few other details. I've used them on other models and they work very well.įor Warhammer Underworlds I sprayed the Stormcast GW's gold primer.
